Carbon Neutrality
providing a forum to facilitate OEM and supplier dialogue and action on approaches, tools and resources to support advancing carbon reduction efforts across the automotive value chain
Since 2002, Suppliers Partnership for the Environment (SP) has been a leading forum for global automakers and their large and small suppliers to work together to improve the environmental sustainability and business value of the global automotive supply chain, including efforts to improve energy management and advance decarbonization initiatives across the supply chain.
As expectations for credible greenhouse gas reporting and decarbonization strategies continue to rise, SP members are working to improve the effectiveness and efficiency in reporting related to common industry goals, streamline supplier engagement processes, and accelerate progress on Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions reduction.
Through SP’s Carbon Neutrality Working Groups, members work together to identify shared challenges, pilot solutions, and develop practical tools that support effective reduction and reporting efforts across all scopes. This includes resources such as a streamlined carbon survey template, Transform Auto renewable energy program, OEM-supported educational guides, and frameworks to support consistent and transparent reporting. Whether you are just beginning a carbon reduction journey or refining existing programs, SP offers a platform for learning, connection, and collaborative progress.
