- Clarios Announces Next Element of Its $6 Billion Plan to Advance American Manufacturing and Domestic Supply Chains, Clarios announced it is evaluating U.S. locations for a next generation technology campus anchored by new supercapacitor system production. Supercapacitors are an advanced energy storage technology used in cutting edge applications including next generation American made vehicle platforms, artificial-intelligence (AI) data centers and advanced military technology. - Cyclic Materials Announces USD $25M Investment to Establish Centre of Excellence for Rare Earth Recycling in Kingston, Ontario, Cyclic Materials announced a USD $25 million investment to launch North America’s first Centre of Excellence for rare earth recycling in Kingston, Ontario, which will result in 45 new skilled jobs in the region. - GM to invest $4 billion in its U.S. manufacturing plants, General Motors announced plans to invest about $4 billion over the next two years in its domestic manufacturing plants to increase U.S. production of both gas and electric vehicles. The new investment will give GM the ability to assemble more than two million vehicles per year in the U.S. Click Here
- Honda Issues “Honda ESG Report 2025”, Honda Motor Co., Ltd. issued the Honda ESG Report 2025, posting it on the company website. The summary includes additional information such as targets and direction in each ESG area, as well as initiatives Honda has taken to achieve the targets, a tracked record of achievements, and related data itemized for each target. - Honda Joins the American Red Cross Annual Disaster Giving Program, The Honda U.S. family of companies announced that it is enhancing its longstanding support for American Red Cross disaster relief efforts across the nation by joining the nonprofit’s Annual Disaster Giving Program, which helps ensure the organization can respond to the more than 65,000 disasters that take place each year. The annual Honda contribution of $1 million went into effect April 1, 2025. Click Here
- Honda Honors Top Indirect Procurement Suppliers for Outstanding Performance, Honda honored 33 suppliers that provide indirect products and services to Honda manufacturing plants and business operations across North America for outstanding performance during the past year. The awards were announced during an annual Honda Indirect Procurement Supplier Conference in Dublin, Ohio. - PureCycle Announces $300 Million Capital Raise; Outlines Growth Plan for One Billion Pounds of Installed Capacity with Projected EBITDA of $600 Million Per Year by 2030, PureCycle Technologies, Inc. announced the plan to bring one billion pounds of installed capacity online before 2030 across the United States, Europe and Asia. This plan is catalyzed by the execution of binding agreements for a $300 million capital raise. Click Here
- Renercycle and Cyclic Materials Sign Strategic Agreement for Wind Turbines, Renercycle and Cyclic Materials have entered into a strategic partnership to enhance the circular economy in the renewable energy sector, focusing on the recycling and recovery of rare earth elements (REEs) from dismantled wind turbines. - Stellantis supports the PIONEER project with Second Life Batteries provided by SUSTAINera Circular Economy division, SUSTAINera, the division dedicated to the Circular Economy in Stellantis, has contributed to the PIONEER project (airPort sustaInability secONd lifE battEry stoRage) created by Enel and ADR with the scientific contribution of the German research institute Fraunhofer. This is the largest system in Italy, and among the largest in Europe, of energy storage that uses second-life batteries at Rome Fiumicino airport. Click Here
- Toyota Tsusho and LG Energy Solution Establish Joint Venture for Automotive Battery Reclamation, Toyota Tsusho Corporation announced that its U.S. subsidiary, Toyota Tsusho America, Inc., has reached an agreement with LG Energy Solution, a member of Korea’s LG Group, to establish Green Metals Battery Innovations, LLC, a company that will engage in the reclamation of automotive battery scrap materials in North Carolina. - A Natural Beauty: Toyota Tennessee Celebrates New State Park, Kids and conservation are the center of a new, $150,000 donation on behalf of Toyota Tennessee. Today, Toyota, the National Environmental Education Foundation (NEEF) and other community partners kicked off a three-year, $150,000 grant project at one of the Volunteer State’s newest state parks, Middle Fork Bottoms.
