- Cyclic Materials to build $20 million recycling plant in Arizona, Cyclic Materials will build its first commercial plant in Arizona as part of a push to boost U.S. critical minerals supply. - Hydro and Nemak sign LOI to decarbonize automotive industry, Hydro has signed a letter of intent (LOI) with Nemak to develop low-carbon aluminium casting products for the automotive industry. The ambition is to accelerate decarbonization efforts and support car manufacturers in reaching their sustainability goals. The decarbonization will be done by using more post-consumer scrap and changing the energy mix to cleaner energy sources like natural gas and electrical boilers at Hydro’s Alunorte alumina refinery in Brazil. - WM Announces New, Modernized High-Tech Recycling and Renewable Gas Facilities across U.S., WM announced the company will celebrate the official grand openings for four recycling and renewable natural gas (RNG) projects across the U.S. The facilities are part of WM’s plans to invest about $3 billion in its sustainability growth strategy from 2022-2026, expected to result in 39 new or upgraded recycling facilities and 20 new WM-owned RNG facilities.
