EPR Policy Insights for Automotive Packaging
As of 2026, Suppliers Partnership for the Environment (SP) is providing a new monthly EPR packaging policy brief as a members-only resource. This initiative is designed to help SP members stay informed of the evolving U.S. policy landscape related to extended producer responsibility for packaging.
This resources provides SP with regular updates and practical insights on enacted programs, proposed legislation, implementation developments, and related policy trends across states. SP aims to use this information to support our members in tracking emerging requirements and better understanding changes that may affect automotive packaging, compliance planning, and broader sustainability strategies. This effort builds on executive guidance on EPR packaging policy trends which SP published last year and the ongoing work of our sustainable packaging work group.
This addition reflects our ongoing focus on providing members with timely, practical resources that help them navigate complex and evolving environmental issues across the automotive value chain. Please contact us if you’d like to learn more about membership and how to get involved in our packaging workstream.
