Webinar: Sustainable materials – opportunities and challenges for the automotive sector

Suppliers Partnership for the Environment (SP) recently hosted a webinar on Sustainable materials – opportunities and challenges for the automotive sector with presenters Michael Campbell, Principal Consultant, Sustainable Transport, Ricardo, and Andrew Dunwoody, Head of Circular Economy, Ricardo.

The presenters shared the initial findings of a new study on “Demand-led Innovation for the Automotive Sector: Material Requirements for 2030 and Beyond.”

Conducted on behalf of UKRI’s Transforming Foundation Industries (TFI) Challenge, the study engaged with the automotive industry and supply chain to build upon an extensive literature review and identify the challenges of the evolving landscape of automotive material demands. The report explores existing and future demands for automotive materials as well as analyzing the drivers shaping changes in material demand and requirements, and identifies interventions that could support the changes needed to meet those demands.

A copy of the webinar presentation slides and a recording of the presentation is now available.
