Updated Expendable Packaging Guidance Now Available

Suppliers Partnership for the Environment (SP) has released Version 1.5 of its Sustainable Packaging Specification Recommendations for Automotive Expendable Packaging.

Originally published in 2023, the guidance was recently reviewed by SP’s Sustainable Packaging Work Group as part of its regular review process. This update includes minor refinements to clarify existing recommendations.

The guidance supports automakers and suppliers in identifying sustainable packaging options for service parts operations, international shipments and backup packaging.
