2023 Automotive Environmental Sustainability Awards – Call for Applications

The Suppliers Partnership for the Environment (SP) – an association of global automakers and their suppliers working together to advance environmental sustainability through the automotive supply chain – has opened the call for applications for its 2023 Awards Program.

The SP Awards are designed to recognize and raise awareness of environmental sustainability successes within the automotive value chain, while promoting knowledge sharing and transfer of proven solutions across the automotive industry. All supplier companies within the global automotive value chain are invited to apply.

The 2023 award categories open for application, include:

• Demonstrating Environmental Innovation in the Manufacturing Process. This award recognizes companies that demonstrate outstanding innovation in an advanced manufacturing process or technology leading to significant environmental and economic impact within the automotive value chain.
• Creativity in Implementing Sustainable Practices. This award recognizes companies that demonstrate remarkable creativity in implementing environmental sustainability programs and practices within the automotive value chain.
• Community Impact. This award recognizes companies who strive to extend the positive impacts of their sustainability efforts to local communities and organizations outside the automotive industry through outreach and education.
• Shining Star. This award recognizes and celebrates individual emerging sustainability leaders within the SP membership for their exemplary efforts in developing and improving environmental sustainability programs, as well as their leadership and engagement in SP.

A selection committee of environmental sustainability leaders from OEM companies will review qualified applications and select winning entries for presentation in an SP Awards Ceremony scheduled for September 19 in Warren, Michigan.
