SP Holds Workshop on EOL Battery Management
On July 16, Suppliers Partnership for the Environment (SP)’s Responsible Battery Work Group held a workshop on the topic of End of Life Management of Advanced Vehicle Batteries. Special thanks to SP member Henkel for hosting the workshop at their offices.
SP’s Responsible Battery Work Group provides a forum for SP members to work together to advance responsible management of advanced vehicle batteries and the objective of this meeting was to promote further information exchange on advanced vehicle battery EOL issues across different stakeholder groups and through open dialogue seek to identify opportunities for strategic collaboration across the value chain to advance responsible management.
The workshop included discussions on global battery management initiatives, industry goals & objectives driving decision-making on battery management, and addressing challenges / opportunities across the vehicle battery value chain, and included speakers from East Penn, ERA Environmental, Ford, GM, Honda, Indie Power Systems, RSR Technologies, Toyota, University of Michigan, US DOE and the World Economic Forum.
