The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) role in
SP is to help provide topics for special projects, information,
approaches and tools. EPA will provide financial resources
to the National Institute of Standards and Technology's (NIST)
Manufacturing Extension Partnership(MEP) to provide counsel
and guidance to small and mid-sized businesses participating
in SP Technical Assistance Workshops.
In addition, EPA has authorized NIST MEP and the MMTC to
provide $2,500 workshop funding assistance to any small and
mid-size SP members as authorized (Membership Dues Category
Groups IV, V and VI). MMTC shall have authority to extend
funding assistance on behalf of EPA.
